    RESTRICTIONS: The following monitors (a.k.a. displays) may only be marketed and sold as part of a rearview camera backup system. These products may not be marketed as display devices for any other purposes. Examples of prohibited uses include but are not limited to: 1) Navigation display, 2) Caller ID, 3) Blind zone display.

    • Gentex Auto-Dimming Mirror w/ Display & more ... - Latest 2009 Gentex display mirror that features 3.5" rear camera display, compass, HomeLink, amber PRNDL indicator, backlit buttons all-in-one! This is the most top-of-the-line Gentex mirror yet. NOTE: If your mirror includes the rain sensor feature, then this mirror will not suit your vehicle.

    Gentex Auto-Dimming Mirror w/ Display - Another safety and convenience feature developed by Gentex is a video display located in the auto-dimming rearview mirror. The display shows a real-time panoramic view of the rear of the vehicle. The display appears through the mirror glass automatically when the vehicle is shifted into “reverse” and disappears when the vehicle is shifted into any other gear. Display Technology -- the liquid crystal display (LCD) appears through the mirror’s reflective surface via Gentex’s proprietary “transflective” coatings and lighting techniques. The result is a bright, high-resolution display in an intuitive location. The display is driven by one or more cameras located at the rear of the vehicle and is available either on the right or left side of the mirror. Display is intended for rear camera use and/or Thermal Imager, and/or side marker cameras (e.g. Bullet Cam), if you use a Video Switch Box (sold on this page). LCD display, transflective display window, 800cd/m2 brightness, nominal operating voltage = 13.8V, nominal operating current = 110mA @ 13.8V. This unit can not be marketed as a display device for any purposes other than rearview camera backup system use. Harness Kit consists of an AV video plug, power, ground & reverse trigger. Video input one is triggered by the reverse lead and the input two can be activated by a button on the monitor when the reverse lead is disengaged.     Video Switcher - This 6-input video switch box can work with any monitor but the best candidate is the Gentex Display Mirror. This VS-001 Video Switch Box can take up to 6 inputs: 1x reverse camera, 1x right turn signal, 1x left turn signal + an additional 3 RCA video inputs. All inputs use RCA connectors. The first 3 are triggered when wired as such. Can be used with Thermal Imager as well.
