Intro
The PLX Kiwi is about the size of an average cellular phone and is equipped with a brilliant 2.2” color (OLED) organic LED display designed to mount near the vehicles dash in a similar fashion to a portable GPS device.
How it works
The PLX Kiwi installs into any 1996 and newer vehicle, including hybrids in a matter of seconds. Kiwi is a plug and play device which interfaces with your existing OBDII port often located under your steering wheel. By driving with Kiwi, users will be equipped with the knowledge of how to “drive green” and optimize the efficiency of their vehicle simply be modifying their driving behavior in a fun game-like manner.
Saving Gas Made Fun
By using and driving with Kiwi on a daily basis, you’ll be trained with the knowledge to drive more efficiently in a game-like manner. Your daily goal is to obtain the highest “Kiwi Score” by optimizing 4 key elements in your driving behavior (smoothness, drag, acceleration and deceleration). In doing so, you’ll notice significant improvements in your MPG at the same time, making your drive more enjoyable.
Advanced MPG Information
The Kiwi is also an information displaying device. Kiwi not onlydisplays your MPG, but also it displays how many gallons of gas you use. It keeps track of how many dollars in gas you spend and SAVE during your trips. Trip distances, gasoline used, dollars used and dollars saved are all displayed on the Kiwi screen.
Scan Tool
The Kiwi is also equipped with an engine check scan tool. If your vehicle has an engine light illuminated, Kiwi can identify the cause of your engine trouble and clear the light all in the comfort of your vehicle. With this feature you will save time and money from having to bring your vehicle into the garage for servicing.
Global Warming
In an average household, your vehicle is the primary contributorto the global warming gas, carbon dioxide. An average new model sedan driving 15,000 miles per year produces about 9 tons of CO2. By using Kiwi and “driving green” you’ll save about 2 tons of CO2 per year. Simply by using Kiwi and driving green your contribution to the environment is equivalent to planting about 80 trees.

Your Kiwi score is measured by monitoring four main parameters: Smoothness, Drag, Acceleration & Deceleration. The score goes from 0-100, 100 being maximum efficiency.
Kiwi has a series of twenty lessons where drivers are closely monitored for 3 minutes on the different parameters. With this drivers can constantly improve their habits and efficiency.
Kiwi also comes equipped with a scan tool feature. Should your check engine light become illuminated Kiwi can give you the engine trouble code & also reset it saving you time & money in trips to the garage for servicing.
