Convert your existing vehicle to run on 100% Hydrogen ultimately, but use supplemental Hydrogen TODAY
Introduction
Hydrogen is undoubtedly the fuel of choice for motor vehicles. It's renewable, its source is water, and it releases no greenhouse gas (CO2) when being burned. The hydrogen produced can then either be 1) burnt in a conventional combustion engine, or 2) used in a fuel cell to directly produce electricity. Now, the only catch seems to be a cheap, clean source of electricity to make the hydrogen in the first place.
There are two technically different approaches to utilize hydrogen for car use:
-
Substitute hydrogen for petro or diesel, either completely or partially. Hydrogen is made by electrolysis, either on-board or in-home, then it's burnt in the combustion engine & the energy released moves the vehicle in the usual way. Such conversion kit is not available for the general public just yet, but we're monitoring the progress closely & will report here once it's a reality. There are 3 ways to store hydrogen:
- Store it as a compressed gas.
- Store it as a liquid.
- Store it chemically-bonded to Hydrides.
-
Hydrogen is used as a supplemental combustion enhancer (a.k.a. hydrogen injection system). Add a minute amount of hydrogen to the fuel/air mixture (via air intake) to improve the burn, which in turn leads to better economy & reduced emissions. Several reputable studies have shown that this method gives the following benefits:
- Better ignitability (leaner mixtures can be ignited)
- Higher flame speed (leaner mixture will burn reliably)
- Reduced tendency to knock (so higher compression ratio can be used)
Please note that this 2nd combustion enhancer method further divides into 2 subcategories depending the type of gas that the device generates.
- Aquygen (a.k.a. Brown's gas, Hydroxy, HHO, oxy-hydrogen) - it's an electrolyzed gas that contains of 2x hydrogen + 1x oxygen atoms. We do NOT recommend this gas for automotive application.
- Pure hydrogen - with pure oxygen as well (for occupants inside cabin). We recommend pure hydrogen for automotive application.
This combustion enhancer method is what we are offering you here at SigmaAuto.com because the technology is matured, and the devices together with their benefits are real. Welcome to the world of Supplemental Hydrogen Injection System.
Benefit #1: Better gas mileage
Adding hydrogen to your fuel (gasoline or diesel) increases its energy density / octane value. It also enhances the flame spread of the gasoline and combustion. Suddenly you are burning less fuel than before because the hydrogen has the following effect on your engine. The Electronic Control Module (ECM) or the computer in your car senses, through the oxygen sensors, that you're burning the fuel more efficiently. Then the computer tells the injectors to cut back on the gasoline and add more air. This results in better gas mileage. The hydrogen makes your fuel burn more completely and efficiently. In doing so it lowers the amount of unburned fuel that ends up going out your tail pipe, giving you lower emissions and gas savings. In addition, the electrical system in your car is very efficient. It produces more electricity than needed so you can add large stereos and whatnot. Such manufacturers claimed that mileage improvement can range between 15-50% with an average of around 21%. Due to the fuel saving benefit, it may pay for itself in a short period of time.
Benefit #2: More horsepower for better acceleration
Most car owners know by now that an engine loses efficiency as it accumulates carbon build-up. When an engine burns conventional fossil fuels it gets carbon deposit built up from the inefficient combustion of the hydrocarbons which leads to higher levels of emissions. Over time, these affect the performance of your engine in a negative manner (decreased horse-power and torque). When hydrogen burns it doesn't create any carbon and also helps burn the hydrocarbons in the fuel more completely. So as long as you add hydrogen to your fuel mixture you will minimize carbon build-up. Furthermore, the hydrogen helps clean up deposits that are already there. Thus, you will have a cleaner engine that runs smoother and has more power. The hydrogen in the combustion process works in two ways. First it increases the flame spread after the spark plug fires. Second, it increases the combustion at the top of the power stroke which burns the fuel more completely and gives you more horsepower.
Benefit #3: Smoother engine, cleaner-burning
See above for explanation. Enhancement is noticeable even in new engines. You will notice a calmer, quieter, cooler & smoother engine. Enjoy a longer life expectancy of your engine, esp. pistons, valves, rings & bearings. Reduces oil degradation.
Benefit #4: Lower emissions to save the planet
Everybody is worried about global warming. You might already know that this phenomenon is caused by build-up of carbon dioxide in the upper atmosphere. The wonderful thing about supplemental hydrogen combustion enhancer is that it replaces part of the polluting fuel with clean-burning hydrogen and so, it greatly reduces the amount of harmful emissions. It also makes the gasoline burn with less hydrocarbons and Nox emissions. If everyone bought such enhancer we could reduce the greenhouse gases coming from the average vehicle by over 30% per unit . Think about it. Imagine being paid to fight air pollution & combat global warming.
