a high-performance engine is an efficient engine is a clean engine

Increase Your Gasoline Mileage Up To 10% In Less Than 30 min.

The Fuel Optimizer (also known as a dual edge map sensor enhancer) gives you full control of the air/fuel mixture on any fuel injected engine* by attenuating the analog signal of either the MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor or the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) Sensor. This allows you to increase your fuel economy while tailoring the settings to work with your driving habits and horsepower needs.

Most newer vehicles only need one adjustable parameter, however, the Fuel Optimizer is designed with two identical adjustment circuits giving you the ability to fine tune for low speeds under 40 MPH ('city') and a fine tuning for higher speeds ('Highway'). Plus, the control console can return your vehicle to it's normal operation or set for 'Performance' when extra horsepower is needed under a heavy load.

The Fuel Optimizer allows you to manipulate the ECM (Electric Control Module/Computer) of your vehicle into thinking that less fuel is needed for the operation of the engine.

There are two different sensors that can be manipulated to achieve this, the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) or the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor. The Optimizer is a voltage attenuator and will not work on sensors that use frequency variables.

If your vehicle has both of these sensors you will chose to control the MAF sensor for best results. The objective is to reduce the signal voltage to the ECM in an amount large enough to reduce the amount of fuel to the engine without removing the drive-ability or cause the engine to labor which will ruin your attempts to increase your economy.

If you plan on installing a supplemental hydrogen injection system, the Fuel Optimizer will help you achieve even better gas mileage (more info below).

Fuel Optimizer is the key to get the most of your supplemental hydrogen injection system!
Fuel injected vehicles use computers and sensing devices to sense and maintain the correct air/fuel ratio. One of the key sensing devices is the oxygen sensor. Fuel injected vehicles have one or more oxygen sensors installed in the exhaust stream. The computer extrapolates what the air/fuel ratio is based on the amount of oxygen in the exhaust, as reported by the oxygen sensor.

When a fuel saving device is installed, such as a supplemental hydrogen injection system, the petroleum based fuel is burned more completely. One of the results of this is that there is more oxygen (and less unburned hydrocarbons) in the exhaust stream. This is a good thing, and is in fact, what we are trying to achieve.

However, the computer may perceive this condition as a "too lean" air/fuel mix. In other words, what is now a desirable condition in the exhaust, will be interpreted as "not enough gas", and the computer will direct the fuel injectors to increase the amount of gas being pumped into the engine.

The result is that the oxygen sensor and computer prevent super efficient combustion from occurring!

The oxygen sensor "tells" the computer what the oxygen content is by providing a voltage on it's signal wire between 0 and 1 volt. 450 millivolts (.45 volts) means that the fuel/air mixture is correct. Higher values means the mix is rich (has too much gas), and lower voltages means the mix is lean. By adding voltage to the sensor's output, we can compensate for the additional oxygen in the exhaust.

Fuel Optimizer does exactly this. It adds a floating voltage to the top of whatever the oxygen sensor is putting out. It has an adjustment that allows you to control, to within a few millivolts, the amount of this added voltage. This allows the computer to be unaware of the additional oxygen content of the exhaust, and the supplemental hydrogen injection system can now achieve it's full potential in fuel savings.

Most cars have oxygen sensors both before and after the catalytic converter. The ones downstream from the converter do not need to be treated. Their data is used to determine when the converter has gone bad, but are not used in the air/fuel calculations. Fuel Optimizers are only needed for all upstream oxygen sensors.

DISCLAIMER: Due to a possibility of a condition called 'Lean Burn', we recommend that the "Fuel Optimizer" be used in conjunction with the "Supplemental Hydrogen Injection System", water injection, or very close monitoring of the engines temperatures. If you have any doubts, consult your auto mechanic.

Excess heat of a lean burn condition can damage valves and pistons beyond repair. Should you decide to use this device without hydrogen or water injection, we again, recommend you closely monitor the engine's temperatures and refrain from extended heavy loads on the engine while in one of the economy settings.

Avoid WOT (wide open throttle) while in an economy setting.
