How does Battery Brain work?
The Battery Brain that is attached to the vehicles battery will disconnect the load from the battery when it detects a drain beneath a certain level, saving energy to restart the vehicle when needed. This means that if you mistakenly leave the lights or radio on, or there is an unknown short in the system, Battery Brain makes sure that your car will start.

How do I select a technician to install my battery brain?
ASE-Certified professionals usually wear blue and white ASE insignia and carry credentials listing the exact areas of expertise (brakes, engine repair, etc.), while employers often display their technician credentials in the customer waiting area. At present, about 420,000 professionals hold current certifications. They work in every segment of automotive service industry: car and truck dealerships, independent garages, fleets, service station franchises, and more. Motorists should look for facilities that display the ASE Blue Seal of Excellence® logo. Look for a 12V certified technician in your area. Any shop that installs audio equipment and accessories will be able to install Battery Brain.

How does the Battery Brain prevent your car from being stolen?
On the Battery Brain Gold model, user can manually (via the wired button) disconnect the load from the battery, which means, there is no electrical power in the vehicle, in that way a thief can't "hot wire" the vehicle because there is no energy source to start the engine. Only the driver can reset the load by pressing the wired button. Once again, this is exclusive to the Gold model only.

Can the driver disconnect the car battery at will?
Yes, by using Battery Brain Gold, the driver can disconnect the load from the battery using the button whenever he chooses to do so. For example:

1. To prevent the car from getting stolen, disconnect the battery.
2. When used on a boat, disconnect the battery whenever you're done using the craft.
3. In dark places you can light the way or shut the lights off from a distance using the button.
4. When not using the car for an extended period of time (vacation etc.) disconnect the battery by using the button

Will the Battery Brain disconnect the alarm devices?
Any accessory, such as clocks, alarms, computers, memory settings or any devices can be a fused line & be connected directly to the 12V +ve side of the Battery Brain connection (the one that goes on the battery). This way, the car alarm system or any other accessories still wanting to be powered when shut off, can stay on. In general, if the battery completely drains, the alarm or the other accessories will not work anyway! By installing Battery Brain you prevent this from happening.
