The 250-1550 is best suited for seat cover designs that have 1-2 seams running East-West. Also has a unique feature that allows the occupant to dis-arm the bottom element at their discretion operating a lean back heating element only. This is a consumer favorite (boaters, golfers) for those that want back only heat on mild climate days without raising their body core temperature due to the operation of the bottom seat cushion heating element. This has gained the nickname "The California Seat Heater" because it prevents mild climate state users from running their A/C and seat heaters at the same time to offset the bottom heating element raising their body core temperature. The 250-1550 solves the problem and is the only seat heater in the market that has this option. This product also holds its temperature unlike Carbon Fiber and others that are on a temp cycle that fluctuates the heat output based on thermostat and current draw. Many cars can be installed by slip in element technique by simply unclipping the seat cover from rear bottom of the seat to expose a pocket to slide the element into. Total seat cover removal may not be required unlike Carbon Fiber and others that require seat cover removal and dismounting of the seat from the vehicle. This product requires no trimming prior to install. The technology used in this product is etched foil to Mylar polyester backing. Rostra is the only company that uses this superior heating element design. This is the same technology used in heated mirrors.

The 250-1802 is OE to 9 car manufactuers and can be manually die cut with scissors or blade by installer to accomadate standard East-West seamed seats that have 1-3 seams at variable distances apart depending on design. This product has a limitation when cutting the element vertically; you can only cut 1-5/8" which makes it incompatiable with vertically seamed seat covers like the vehicles noted for the 250-1816 (see below). This product must be trimmed and baste tapped prior to install. Product is extremely hot on high which some prefer; but most users operate it in the low setting after warmup. The technology used in this product is Carbon Fiber.

The 250-1816 our newest addition is for seat cover designs that are center seamed vertically north to south. Toyota Camry LE, Toyota Venza and Nissan Murano and others. We will show a close up of the heating element to transfer the concept of the design to end users. The heating element is die cut vertically to accomadate the vertical seams and the Velcro teeth tie downs that sinch the seat covers down tight over the foam cushions. This product requires no trimming prior to install. The technology used in this design is known as Embedded Resative Wire. Radiant heated flooring has a similar design except it's surface mounted to it's based material.
